Why Do We Have Seasons?
2013
I'm sure plenty of people wonder why and how we have seasons. Why does our weather change? Well there are many reasons our climates and seasons change throughout the year.
As our world rotates on it's axis creating nights and days, our planet circles the sun. This process takes about 365 days (a year) to complete. Our axis is about 23.5 degrees prohibiting the North Pole to point directly at the sun, but it points as close as it can. While the Earth's side approaches the sun on it's axis, temperatures increase creating spring and summer. As the other side facing away from the sun, the temperatures decrease producing winter and fall. This is the reason that each hemisphere has it's own seasons at different times as well.
Places nearest to the equator may seem like they don't have seasons but they really do. These countries usually stay warm through out the whole year because they're closest to the center of the Earth, preventing them to spin away from the sun. The countries farthest from the equator usually stay cold throughout the year because these countries are always facing away from the sun.
For all of you wondering how and why seasons exist I hope this short essay solved your mysteries and curiosities of our strange world.

If I Could Change The World......
2014
There are so many things in this world that could use some improvement, but if there was one thing I could change it would be technology.
In my opinion technology has made us a lot lazier. It's also proven that social websites depress kids, lower their grades, become anti-social, show aggressive tendencies and gain anxiety. Everybody is so into making themselves batter online they forget the negative side effects. Teenagers don't think about how cops and creeps pretend to be attractive young people on the internet to get what they want from you. Plenty of kids fall for the pretty faces on photos instead of actually figuring out whom they are or why they're trying to communicate. They also forget that what you put online is always online, nothing is ever permanently deleted.
All technology was created to make our lives easier, in some cases it has it's benefits. Such as medically, musically, and even transportation. I'm really grateful for the upgrades in medical technology and studies. We cure more viruses and diseases now than ever, and now we're trying to print off organs for effective transplants!
For the majority of people using technology however, is to make the simplicities of their lives easier and as a result they have become lazier. Walking a block to get your mail? Most people would rather drive instead. Writing a report? People would rather browse the internet instead of opening a book. America is becoming the laziest country. It's so bad to the point where instead of talking face-to-face kids will text each other when they're in the same room! Crazy...
So therefore I think if I was able to change anything it's be less access to the technology.
